Martelle Hammer
Martelle Hammer is a graduate of WAAPA. She developed her singing talent with Elizabeth Kemp, co-director of Actor’s Studio N.Y, did time at Labyrinth Theatre Company, N.Y and trained with Gardzienice Theatre in Poland. Martelle has over 30 theatre credits, including her recent performances in the Sydney Opera Houses’s ‘L’hotel‘ and David Allen’s ‘In a Little Room‘. Martelle’s other credits include ‘Breathing Corpses’, ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’, ‘Affliction’,‘The Caucasian Chalk Circle’, ‘The Seagull, As You Like It’ and ‘Cowboy Mouth’. She joined Vis a Vis Theater Company, co-devising ‘Do Dogs Dream of Angels’ touring on invitation to the Krakow Cultural Festival. Martelle has also performed in ‘Solitude In Blue’ (Griffin Theatre Company) ‘Sugarbomb’ (TRS) ‘The Lights’ (B Sharp) ‘Tooth of Crime’ (ATYP) and over 20 screen roles in both shorts and 2 features, her current favorites being ‘Odd People’ by Thomas Goodin, a musical film; ‘Did I Tell You Bout Jasper’ by Jake Neilsen & Matt Predny (winning audience choice at wow international festival 2014), and feature ‘One Less God’ by Lliam Worthington. She has worked on her first solo record with rock band Fondula, as well as channeling Eartha Kitt as the Cheshire Cat in the musical ‘Wonderland’. Martelle’s recent television credits include playing the role of Jackie in ‘Pieces of her’ on Netflix.
