Peter Kowitz is an award winning actor acknowledged for his enormous talent as the 2014 Winner of Best Actor (Floating World) at the Sydney Theatre Awards, 1989 Best Performance by an Actor (Body Surfer) AFI Awards and 1986 Best Lead Actor (The Long Way Home) AFI Awards. Peter is well known for his many years in theatre, notably in the role of Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman (QTC), Roland in Taking Steps (Ensemble), Australian Graffitti (STC), Talk (STC), Double Indemnity (MTC), The Weir (MTC), The Floating World (Griffin), Australia Day (STC) and some 25 successful productions with The Queensland Theatre Company. Peter is well known for his television role of Tony Gillies (series regular) in ABC TV’s Rake. Other television credits are Crownies, City Homicide, Packed to the Rafters, I Rock, McLeods Daughters, All Saints, Young Lions, The Restless Lears and the Whole of the 80’s. Peter’s film credits include Black Fury, Stir, A Street to Die, Dear Cardholder, Spook and Page 73.
