Sheridan is an award winning actor, writer and director, graduating from NIDA in 2006. She won Best Actress at the Sydney Theatre Awards for her performance in the premiere season of Prima Facie, and nominated for her role in Stop Girl at Belvoir Theatre, the debut work of journalist Sally Sara’s chronicling her time as foreign correspondent in Afghanistan. For Melbourne Theatre Company she appeared in The Beast, The Speechmaker, North by Northwest, and she has co-authored the upcoming musical My Brilliant Career for the Melbourne Theatre Company 2023 season. She wrote the musical Songs for the Fallen, which won Best Musical, and Outstanding actress at the New York Music Theatre Festival, and a Green Room Award. Her theatre acting credits include Calamity Jane, The Sugar House, Girl Asleep, The Dog/The Cat (Belvoir Theatre), Prima Facie, Kill Climate Deniers, Jump for Jordan (Griffin Theatre Company), Queen Fatima (Sydney Festival), Gaybies (Darlinghurst). Her work in musicals includes Muriels Wedding, Fiddler on the Roof, and My Fair Lady. She recently appeared in The Twelve for Foxtel, and The Messenger on ABC. She played Valerie Solanas and Judy Garland in Jim Sharman’s online film Andy X. TV credits include Rake, All Saints and Wild Boys, Doctor Blake Murder Mysteries, and The Justine Clarke Show.
